What it is
A HIPAA compliant, secure electronic medical information system for obstetrics health care professionals that supports access via the web and/or personal data assistant (PDA) based data.

What the hardware is
Your favorite Microsoft Windows PC or Apple Macintosh® workstation or tablet computer, with a current web browser such as Internet Explorer 6 or Netscape Navigator® 7 among others. This ability to work off a broad range of operating systems, workstation and browsers gives users alternate avenues to take to optimally meet their own security needs. The system also supports access and updating of the same patient information on intermittently Internet connected Palm Poweredhandhelds or smart phones. We support all major computing technologies but PDA's are especially attractive over alternative computing devices where low cost, reliability, battery lifetime or control of disease transfer vectors may be an issue. The OBSecure® PDA based information is also accessible even when local power is not available making it ideal for true portability of your important patient data. Synchronization of the PDA data can be accomplished through a short occasional few second connection to the Internet via standard WiFi, Bluetooth, Infrared or the PDA cradle. As an example a thousand patients can be routinely updated on a PDA in several seconds over common Infrared synchronization hardware. No special hardware is required at your facilities. Encryption of the data is handled automatically and transparently so no complex virtual private networks (VPN's) are required.

A simple one time flat fee per patient, per pregnancy provides your practice's staff unlimited, controlled access and updates to the information throughout the entire gestation period as well as through follow up visits.
